 |  Looking through more of the papers in my Aunt Char-lotte's trunks in the attic, I found another letter of Abigail's brother Samuel Joseph May. He wrote it in Syracuse, New York, on May 8, 1865, the day his wife, Lucretia, died. Even in mourning he had beautiful handwriting. |

I was thinking how he could write such beautiful letter while he was mourning. I think you should thank your aunt since she had preserved in the attic. It would have been better if you had told the content of the letter as I couldn't really read its contents. 10/11/2013 07:47:40 pm
